A REPUTED TEACHER RESIGNS
Ghoshdiha, Paschim Medinipur, August 5: Sri Haripada Sen, renowned teacher of our school has retired today after his dedicated service to the school for over three decades. On the occasion, a farewell meeting was organized in honour of the great teacher. The function started with an opening song by the students. Then the honorable teacher was garlanded by the Assistant Headmaster of our school. Next followed speeches by teachers and students highlighting Sri Sen's contributions to the school both as a teachers and an administrator. Then the retired teacher rose to deliver a most touching speech which moved one and all present in the meeting. At last, it was the turn of the president of the function, Mr. Giridhari Mishra, the secretary of Managing Committee of our school. In his speech, the president described Sri Sen as one of the finest teachers of his generation and called upon the students and teachers to follow his ideas. The function ended with a nice closing song. Like every one, I, too, returned home with a heavy heart.
