GLOBALIZATION-LIBERALISATION

Globalization means bringing the entire world into one platform so that all nations, without risking their distinguished entities enjoy universal exercise of their activities.

Globalization, the concept and following which was inated in the 1950s and 1960s, has actually emerged to become a programme only in the 1960s. The concept of globalization is nothing new in Indian culture. Our sages and philosophers laid much stress upon global culture. But today, thanks to modern science and technology, the concept gains momentum. We are indeed living in a global village. The fabulous development in telecommunication system and space findings have diminished all territorial distances. Globalization has brought about changes in our outlook to life.

Liberalisation connects the concept of economy and it generally refers to economic Liberalisation. Globalization and liberalisation go hand in hand and their influence in world affairs have made almost all the countries come under the banner of globalization. And liberalisation will lose its meaning without being free down of economic affairs. It is a common concept that a nation's economy alone cannot survive. It can only survive in relationship with world economy.

Will a poor country, lose its economic self-sufficiency? No doubt, the poor countries should have a go but there is fear of loosing their present economic trend in the competitive world trade and business. The workers and labourers of poor countries will not survive in face of the challenges from technologically advanced countries that has shattered the so-called concept and movement of globalization. Different Governments and business establishments of poorer countries cannot avoid their responsibilities towards the people. The poorer countries will have a scope to work at infrastructural level under the rich ones and will get benefits. Their business establishments and their people will get and earn freely.

The concept of liberalisation become meaningless in third world countries because the poorer sections are always neglected, Hence, each third world country should protect its interests at the Government level. Otherwise the rich of those poor countries may only enjoy the benefits while the poor are thrown out.
