INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY(E-GOVERNANCE, INTERNET ETC.)

Information technology is the system or devices used for receiving, storing and analysing informations in all forms and their application in almost all spheres of our life. Information technology has two main systems; Communication system and telecommunication system. It has wide areas of use and applications. It is used in all aspects of human life such as offices, milles and factories, schools, colleges, universities, libraries and laboratories. Information technology has replaced all the earlier forms of communications. Now, communications can be done over T.V and Internet. One can accomplish a fair amount of work with greatest speed with the greatest of output. It has worked wonders in distant communication. We can establish contact with people living in distant places in no time. Information technology brought the countries closer to one another. Now we have internet always at our service.

Due to breath-taking pace of technological change, communication is now nearly instantaneous and these are reflected in E-Governance. "E" stands for electronic and thus we find E-Governance, E-mail, E-Commerce and all the electronic world blended in the informations world.

The principal goals of the expanding E-Governance are to : improve government efficiency and effectiveness, make it easy for citizens to obtain service and interaction with the government at different levels, improve governments responsiveness to citizens.

E-Mail, E-commerce, E-administration are the speedier devices in sending news, making communications and running efficient administration through proper and speedier information system.

Internet's WWW is the most ubiquitous and least expensive medium to disseminate information. Internate basically utilises the convergence of computer and communication technology. Internet gave birth to internet, a network organisation using the same protocols as the internet. Internets could easily be connected to internet since both the uses standardized protocols.

It is quite heartening to note that India has achieved a tremendous success in information technology. It is gaining in popularity in every corner of the country.
