We are enough to have stepped into a new millennium after having lived at the fag end of the last one. Last millennium witnessed numerous epoch-making changes and incidents which had tremendously helped mankind to go forward. The great incidents like Glorious Revolution, Industrial Revolution, French Revolution, Russian Revolution had revolutionized the minds and lives of men. The two World Wars were the major incidents of the millennium. In addition, many great discoveries and inventions were made which have made men's life much more easier and comfortable. In the new millennium man's progress is expected to reach much greater highest. Now, the world is going to witness a great scientific and technological advancement quite unheard of. New inventions will enable man to have greater control over nature. More mysteries of the earth and the universe will be unraveled. Means and modes of faster communications will be invented and introduced adding to the ease and comfort of man. The distance of the world will be killed and the people of various countries will come much closure to one another. Deadly and dangerous diseases will no longer be incurable with the inventions of new medicines. Newer and greater achievements are going to be made in the field of industry and agriculture, too. Thus mankind will witness the greatest ever materialistic progress in the new millennium. In the 21st century the greatest problems mankind is going to comfort is danger of pollution of all kinds due to intensive and extensive industrialization. The major issues which are suspected to plague the people of the world are unemployment and nuclear wars. In the changed scenario man will perhaps be much more materialistic and less mystic and less mystic. And that is going to be at the root of many future evils in the new millennium.
